Alert! An Ottaway was spotted on a recent February 2024 American Pickers TV episode when they were in or near Columbus Ohio. On the train cars you could read "Bear Lake" on one and "Foley Alabama" on another. Welcome to the Ottaway Locomotives History and Information site! Here you can find information including the progress of restoring two of these great locomotives. It's a lot of work but also a great reward to operate one.
There is an engine roster available, and it has been updated with more current information. Of course, as it says in the title, there is history of Ottaway locomotives as accurately as can be presented. I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to the major players involved with Ottaway Locomotives.
There also have been several old articles and other information added to the site which I hope you will find interesting and useful.
