The cab of the locomotive was in pretty rough shape when we got it. The following photos are of it before re-doing it. The fabric on the top was a painted canvas type of material.
The following images are the cab after I changed out the fabric and repaired some rotted wood on the roof and then repainted the whole thing. The fabric I went with has a bit of texture but may be susceptible to cinder burn holes. We shall see how long it lasts. It will be fairly easy to replace if needed.
